Cadplan loader build - 1512
Been a busy summer. In the final stage of a loader build for my 1512.
Starting running loader on the tractor hydraulics but just added separate hydraulic system for it. Belt driven pump. Only remaining it is a skid plate to protect the pump.

Just picked up a ton of wood pellets. Was able to test the loader.
I was able to lift 400 lbs (10 bags) with the loader but rear wheels quickly lost traction. Top picture. Rear tires are loaded and I have 75 lb wheel weights on each side. Seemed that just under 300 lbs (7 bags) worked well with current tractor setup. Second picture. Due to bucket size it was tough to even get the 7 bags balanced.

That looks great.
I am slowing working on one for my 1863. I will use a belt or shaft driven pump also. What pump did you use? . |

The single arm loader doesn’t require that much hydraulic volume.
I used this pump. This pump is available in multiple sizes but the key feature is the shaft supports a side load (ie belt driven). https://www.zoro.com/concentric-moto...specifications I also used the split taper pulley. Really locked well onto the pump shaft. https://www.surpluscenter.com/Pulleys-V-Belts/

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
