Default Hello from Alberta, Canada

Hi all, just joined the forum and wanted to introduce myself. My son and I just got a CC 122 given to us. Our hope is to get it running and find some implements that we can use around our house to help eliminate some of the shovel work (spread top soil and snow removal).

Here is our little tractor the day we picked it up. It has a #1 tiller and mowing deck with it. We are hoping you all can help us as this project moves along and the bug starts to grow with these amazing little machines. Cheers.

Welcome.

Cubs are a fun hobby. You'll have fun getting that 122 running, and before you know it, you'll have another one.

Where in Alberta are you? There are only a few of us here. I can only think of four others at the moment.

Free is the best! Looks like the tiller has both extensions too, nice!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
