Default 8 x 3.75 rim for 1" spindles?

I have always liked the looks of the narrow front rims/wheels on the early Cub Cadets.. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a 8 x 3.75 rim for use with the newer 1" spindles.. Just wondered if there was a way to put the narrow front rims on my 782? I think a set of 4.80x8 tri ribs would look good on it... I don't really like the looks of the 16 x 6.50 - 8 tri ribs.. they look kinda fat and blown out on the sides

The easiest thing to do would be to switch the spindles to 3/4.

That's what I did. Did it on the 1050. Motor in the 782 is a bit heavier, but I still don't know that it justifies 1" spindles.

It's an easy option.

a machine shop can cut the 3/4" hubs out of the wheels and put hubs in for the 1" bearings ,

Thought about that but guess I shoulda mentioned I'm running an 1862 front axle with short cyclops spindles... so the earlier 3/4 spindles won't work..

I think those are set up for tapered bearings.. but thanks for the link.. they might work with different bearings

Had that idea... but not sure if it's worth all that effort.. I'll prob just ditch the idea and run something wider.. thanks for the idea though!
