Deck is 38". CC Specialties has this for the belt:
Cub Cadet Original PTO to Deck Belt 1/2" x 82" PN/ IH 464362 R1 USE 954-0226 Fits 38" 2 spindle timed deck. There are two V sheaves down in the front on the lower cross shaft. Replace those bearings at the same time you do the deck. Press-fit into the sheave. When you tighten the cross shaft with the new belt, use a pry bar on the shaft for tension. If you don't, it'll slip, then the belt will vibrate and may come off one of the V sheaves.(ask me how I know!) |

Yup, below the grill in front. Note the orientation of the axle spacers, and the two sheaves. I use 'sheave' where it is in an undriven or idle condition, but 'idler pulley' is synonymous. (I used to work at a ski area, and service the big sheaves that the cable ran in)

That's a nice old O!
I'll point out that my ratty O, with the belt that's been on it for decades, pulled my dead 123 uphill yesterday . They WILL pull. Congrats on the find!

Good work on the deck I may have to refer back when I find the time to get the deck working on my old O.
