Truly a legend that will be missed. When learning guitar as a child one of my favorite books was the "Roy CLark big note guitar song book" I might even still have it somewhere.

I don't follow country music much but I have a liking to the recent Johnny Cash Show reruns. Roy Clark was featured on one of the show and, man, he was incredible! RIP

Im with ya!. I never really liked country music either. My guitar teacher was more on the rock side also however he said Roy's beginners book was one of the best right behind Mel Bays Book 1. Funny story tho. When I was about 25 or so my mother was getting remarried. SHe had moved to Tuscon AZ and I flew out for the wedding. I got to the reception hall and saw the band getting set up "prior to them changing into cowboy gear" I asked what kind of music they played. They quoted the line from blues brothers movie.. "we got BOTH kinds of music.... Country and western! YEEEEEHAWWW

Country and western! YEEEEEHAWWW
Sadly, all three a thing of the past The crap they call "country" now is just a bunch of screeching and howling, Hell most of these clowns don't know more than 1/2 dozen notes that they emit through their nose! I'm sorry.....but I grew up on Buck Owens, Ray Price, Waylon, Kitty, Bill Anderson, Real country DJ's and all night trucking radio shows, you get the picture. __________________ |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
