Lucky yard.
Most of the leaves are off the trees and there's almost no leaves in the yard, the wind always blows towards the tree's so I guess I got lucky with this yard.

I like your redneck roofing job Tim.
So how is home ownership treating you?

I'm never lucky with the leaves. My house sits on an open space surrounded by trees. I feel like Custer on his last stand!
But then again, I haven't been able to do much leaf blowing cause they're mostly still on the trees.....even after today's storm. The leaves are behind schedule this year!

I had that happen once and once only during hurricane Sandy. Normally I fill my Agrifab leaf vac twice a week from Oct15 through Dec 15

Going good so far. I got the steel for the roof the other day but now I need it to stop raining long enough to get it on.

Friday 10/26, I just started leaf pick up using the TracVac. Five loads for the front yard. Lots of leaves remain on the trees in SE Pa. I typically do 22-24 TracVac loads until I give up sometime after Thanksgiving. Big difference in timing from Indiana, Pa (son went to IUP) to SE Pa. Although it can be windy here on the ridge, the wind doesn't help remove the leaves from the yard.

You are lucky. The elm trees around my house are holding tight and still green. I'm waiting for a BIG drop, hoping for a BIG wind at the same time. My woods is closer to the house and deposits it's leaves in my yard. A good wind does wonders but don't leave the garage door open. Mike

don't have many down yet, but usually have to run the vac once or twice a week for a month or they will be a foot deep in the front yard.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
