Welcome to OCC, glad to have you here. The 782 is one of my most favorite GT's.

Thanks for the welcoming party and MerryChristmas to you all. A little more about myself. I owned a cub many years ago when i was much younger. I forget what model, but it had a frontend loader on it. Ran good i sold later. Didn't know what i had back then. Then owned i believe a 147 later. I was the second owner. Ran great. Mowed with it a few years then sold it on ebay. I wasn't aware of the red cubs till recently. Found the 782 in NC. I've only had it a couple of weeks, but i have mowed with it and ground up some leaves. Seems to run great. Has the series ll engine. It shows over 1800hrs. Don't run like its got that many. I changed the hydraulic filter and the fluid today. It was a quart low, but fluid was clean and inside was clean also. I will try to dnload pics. Hope this works. Sorry my 11year old computer won't let me dnload pics. I will try again maybe with a new computer.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
