Default Got a 128 and it came with this

I won’t post pics of the 128 that I got this past weekend pretty cheap but it is a little rough but does have rear lift and spring assist. But, this would be the first out of many that came with the big service manual. Just wanted to share some pics as I think it’s cool and packed with info (it should be it’s about 4 inches thick) I like that weight was posted for those that always wonder how heavy they are

That will be handy! Paper manuals are expensive.

Thanks Beth. It’s pretty neat and like brand new. Comes with breakdowns of every part and every option listed for all models within that serial range. Took a lot of trees and ink to make it for sure.

That’s really in good shape!!
I love the big paper manuals. I only have one for the 82 series. It has wheels and lift assist.

Alvy,

Nice score. It's interesting that it's so clean. It looks like it was obtained just in case needed, and then....well, it wasn't!

700 lbs ish.... seems about right. They're heavy little guys.

The cost to industry of creating detailed documentation is generally overlooked. It's NOT cheap to have such nice tech docs created and maintained.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
