It went sideways because 1. you were not very specific about what kind of deck they offered and 2. because sears would probably not be a place where anyone on this forum would look to buy a deck from. If Sears is selling a deck to fit a cub I would think it would only be for a MTD machine if at all. Also Sears would just be "reselling" the deck. Resellers just add another hand out to get paid. On another note. I thought Sears went out of business. There is some talk of them continuing the craftsman line but craftsman would not sell an MTD part.

Also, Sears sold off the Craftsman line to Stanley last year. Just last week I saw the Craftsman stuff for sale in Lowes. |

I looked at sears. I saw one deck for a cub mtd. Gonna be hard for them to compete with anyone lol.. Let alone Amazon. But I guess all they can do is try at this point. We have had Craftsman in out local ace store for a few years now. All of what they are doing just seems like a horrible business plan to me.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
