old member info
A few people have suggested that we bring over the old member information. post numbers, join dates etc. Moderators, is this possible? I would like to have my join date and post numbers back...

Tyler:
You can bring over some of the data. All the user entered information can be updated by each member by going in your User CP and making the changes you want. There is NOTHING that can be done with regards to "post numbers". I will check with program support and see if "join date" is editable.

The history that makes us who we are
Roland, thanks for looking into the join dates. Here's a copy of a post I made jsut after joining. It was posted in the welcome desk cause that looked like where most of the members would see it, but with no replies except from Tyler, I figured I'd repost here.
I know it would be a BIG PIA but I kinda miss all of our old join dates. Not quite sure that at 64 yrs old I can relate to being a "junior member." I think a member's number also shows his dedication to a site. I got a lot of info from the original member #s and join dates. It gave me an idea of just how the site came about and to a certain extent, a poster's bona fides. I also wonder why many members wouldn't put their home state under their name. I constantly see guys talking about finding Cubs on, it seems, every street corner, and I often wonder where they are. I'm envious as heck cause here in south east NY they are rare as hen's teeth. So, from this cranky old guy, keep the member numbers. MikeC, #95 July 23, 2007

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
