1450 wheel weights
Just purchased my first IH Cub Cadet! It's a 1450 that has: dual hydraulics, rear lift, sleeve hitch, wheel weights and a beast of a plow!. The first duty is for hauling a dump trailer and rough grading fill dirt. After hauling loads of fill dirt and dumping, should I use the rear wheel weights when I push the loose fill around? Not exactly sure the true purpose of the weights. I have many questions and will be posting more, but this is my first.....

Rear wheel weights help you get more traction. Ags will help. Or chains on turf tires. Use the weights if you need it. They won't prevent wheelies provided by overloaded tongue weight from the trailer.

Yea, the Troy Bilt was a fail from the start. The factory hitch was way too low and inset between the rear wheels. I welded a 2” ball to the bagger frame for trial purposes and basically made a lever arm! Had to push it to the limit to convince my wife I needed Cub.
