1811 front tires
A front tire on my 1811 went flat mowing the yard the other day. Dad managed to get it pumped up and finish mowing, but it is now flat again. maybe something stuck in it, maybe its coming apart--they are old and cracked. Any way, if I deem a patch is not sufficient, I'll just replace both of them. My question is what tread pattern is good for making the front end bite while mowing hillsides? With the loaded ags on the rear I have a couple places the front will slip when turning. I posted links to 2 I am looking at (currently it has "conventional" turf tires), please offer opinions on their performance for MOWING GRASS---I will never put this in a garden, play in the snow, or haul firewood.

I would think something like the first one you posted or even a little more aggressive like a snow blower tire

People love the V61s, as well as the Firestone tri ribs Miller Tire offers. When my fronts go bad on my 1811 I'm thinking V61s, same for the ones on both of my 18x8.50-8 front wheeled tractors, my 1872 and (gasp) JD 400.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
