Muffler Clamp
Sorry for such a trivial post, but anyone know where I can get a decent muffler clamp? Tried ordering what I thought was OE, but the clamp I got was way too small. Found a 1-1/2 in motorcycle exhaust clamp, but its too big. My FLAPS doesn't have anything this small. Since I'll be ordering something anyway, might as well order something decent. Any suggestions?

If you switch to stainless muffler bearings, instead of OEM steel bearings, the larger clamp that you have will work,,,
Keep the stainless bearings well lubed with graphite,,, |

It should be noted:
In extensive studies at prestigious Jay Bee weld institute, it was discovered that the encapsulated sinusoidal oscillations produced in the muffler will cause extensive brinelling of the stained-lips bearing races, if lubed by graphite/ky jelly mixture. It was their findings that it is always better to lube with a 50-50 mix of Skoal bandit/ marbled misery Earl. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
