Default Said I wouldn't get any more

But we know how that works out. Got a 126 today. PO says he thinks it's a 1971, will check and post pics when I take it home.

The tractor looks kinda crappy, but it's a one family machine that lived inside forever, and it's in good shape to be used and worked on one piece at a time. No options except for spring assist, complete sleeve hitch setup, and wheel weights.
I'm already thinking of just taking the deck off and using the tractor to pull my new to me blue and yellow Parker sweeper.

Pics? I have to pick it up first and dust it off!

I'll put some up of my new to me Parker tomorrow and hopefully somebody can tell me more about it than what I know (nothing!)

I'm already thinking about the blue and yellow sweeper behind the white and yellow Cub, it should be pretty.

The 126 is a truly great machine! Mine was in service at a school and still is reliable as any of my cubs. It will be a great mowing machine and with a blade, it will be a force to be reckoned with! Congratulations on your newest acquisition (once you land it)!! Hard to say that you "won't get any more" when the rare ones come along....

Finally picked the 126 up today, and it really does run good. It seems like I'm going to need to do a brake job immediately and maybe clutch soon. It's been pouring all day, won't post any pics until I can get it clean and dry.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
