Bent! Really gettin to know this tractor.
Look at the left vs right. I think someone dropped the tractor once. If I can find one cheap enough I'll buy it otherwise, it seems not too sloppy I will heat and bend it. Just may be hard to get it just exactly right... rather spend the $$ on some clean wheels anyway.

Your looks more like a wheelbarrow wheel. Does the other side, inside have the same offset?

yup they are same. the right spindle is bent upwards. the left side lines up straight to the eye. as to the spindle here's the free play video. tried to dial indicate it and that showed 40 or 50 thousanths at the top, more at the bottom... how much free play does it take to feel it? I could drill and sleeve that axle hole if needed but that's a lot of work.
https://youtu.be/hR3Byzfo1Ig the last pic is from a beutiful restored 100 that I found online .

Well if it were me, I'd bend it cold.
Spindles are normally case hardened to resist bearing area wear and toughen them. When you heat them you loose that. It got bent cold, so straighten it cold. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
