Default Viewed your video.

Viewed your vid. when l got mine, l noticed it had a knock of some type. l was worried that it was in the engine, turns out, it was the pto. clutch.
Try this, w/ the engine on idle, carefully remove the dip stick, if the knock gets louder, it is probably a rod or wrist pin, or a piston slap. you can also remove some of the engine oil, look for metal particles, if none are seen, fill the level back w/ Lucas Oil Treatment, if the sound gets quieter, you most likely need to tear the engine down and address the issue.
just remember, the hard parts (block, crank, cam, head) are hard to come by, and are awfully expensive. if the engine is not allowed to blow, you can avert this expense.
Best wishes.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
