Welcome to OCC!! You have a great project tractor!! You will also find them to be very addictive!!

I was raised on Cub Cadets and Ford Trucks!! That 300 inline six will last just as long as your Cadet!! I have a 96 Bronco that I dearly love... Best vehicle I ever owned hands down!!

Keep us posted! We love pictures!!

Thanks everyone!! I cant wait for the snow to melt so i can get going. Ill document everything in my thread. Already cleaned the points, carb and new air and fuel filter. Need to change the hydro filter and fluid next.

My first truck was a 93 fF150, short box 4x4, so im partial towards this body style. This truck is my 5th F150. I had a 2012 I got new but had to sell because life got in the way lol. A full size Bronco is pretty much my dream vehicle. My dad has always had Fords but right now he has this:

Anyways, thanks again for the positive comments. I look forward to learning a lot and hopefully becoming a contributing member.

Thumbs up

Sam, your former Ford truck must have been pretty good with that 351 e.f.i ! I know about those truly, and my friend has the 95 Ford Lightning model, same short bed, was the first edition of the make!

I agree about the 300c.i inline 6. And that's what I stand by as being better built than today's stuff. My 300 in my 82 f-100 purrs like a kitten still to this day. Simple, yet proven!

My other friend has the smaller 6x6 and we snagged some nice fire wood with it. I think we got like 3 miles per gallon in 6x6, though. Keep up the good work on your ford!

Looking forward to your 107 updates! Until then,

regards!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
