had the afternoon off today so figured I'd take advantage of the unseasonably warm temperatures and do a little painting.

tucked the front end under a big sheet of painters plastic, and masked off the rear window and all the tires.

After some consideration I decided to change up my paint scheme a little. The cab will get a two tone paint job, yellow roughly from the windows down and the top half white. Got the first coat of the yellow lower portion done today, came out pretty good.

Gave the seat mount brackets and mounting plate a fresh coat of yellow as well. also sprayed a little white paint on the parts for the chute rotator and the seat pan and armrest bracket. Hoping the paint cures well, I had the garage door open for ventilation while painting then closed it up with the heater on once it had aired out good. its about 60 degrees out there.

Once the paint dries I will wetsand the cab, apply a second coat of yellow and move on to the upper portion from there. There are a handful of areas I would have liked to come out better as far as body work appearance. I can live with it for now, I can always touch it up later. Like in the spring when I can work with the door open more.

Still no signs of snow! horse hockey!

How do you like your front lights on the cab? They look to be the same as the ones I just bought off Amazon. Nice to see you got the back window in okay. For a while I was beginning to think you were not putting one it! I am like you, wanting snow in a way so I can try it out - but not completely done mods yet, so likely a good thing it hasn't come back.

Nice work on your tractor though.

Thanks Mike! I've been following your thread too. I can't think of a single thing I dislike about the LED lights, they are a great value and are great performers. The lights themselves and the hardware included were all better quality than I expected for the price. In the first pic I posted on this page there's a portable LED work light on the shelf with one LED bulb in it. It lights up my entire work space and drowns out the florescent and incandescent lighting in there easily. The 12v lights from amazon have 6 LEDs in each housing, and when I kick those on in the garage it makes that work light look like a candle. I think you will be very happy with them on your cab.

CC1450 Did you have problems getting yours to light up? I grounded mine, made sure all connections were good but they will light and then a split second later, they are almost off except for the little dot in centre??? VERY frustrating, are the lights defective?

No I had zero issues with mine whatsoever. Sorry to hear they are giving you trouble. I'd test them separately straight off the battery to eliminate possible wiring issues. Mine are both connected to the same power wiring, both reds to 12v+ both blacks grounded to chassis near the lights with both grounds at the same location.

Yes, it certainly SUCKS! I had everything wired in nice and neat too! Dirty buggers! I hate returning things! There is always issues then you have to argue with someone along the line about why you are doing it and what you did to maybe "damage" the product. Treat you like a criminal sometimes.

Glad to hear your's are working well and the tractor and cab are coming along well. I was able to take mine for a drive today before I started to work on the lights.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
