Mine doesn’t have a PTO cross shaft since it is electric pto. Correct? I’m guessing the cross shaft you’re referring to is like on my CC 128.

Thanks for the picture and info on new ones at TSC. I’ll definitely get a new one once I get this one off!! I promise....the keeper on mine isn’t split or cut at the bottom. It’s solid all the way around. I pryed gently with a screwdriver and saw it is solid piece. I think getting that hydraulic lever arm removed has got to glue the hardest thing I’ve encountered working on this 1450. Wish I had gotten a better picture of that keeper.

That's the keeper right there, you are looking at it, geesh!!
I'ts gotta be split, on the long end so it can move to the left
Lay the flat of you sd against the long end, next to the pin and tap it down with a small hammer.
It's spring steel, it will move

I'm done with this

Get a screwdriver in the end of the long slot and drive it towards the short slot and it should spring open, some of the ones I removed didn't look split to me either but they were ! The pto cross was on a 149 it has the safety switch actuating tab on it with a roll pin and almost impossible to drive out after 40+ years.

Yeah I know that is the keeper. I was just saying it doesn’t appear to be split to be removed. I pryed on it with a screwdriver and still didn’t see the split. I will try again tomorrow. Worst case I break it and have to buy A new one. Thanks guys.

You have to "Spread" the long end open, and then pry up and out.

got it out tonight after removing the tower to get better access to it. It definitely gave a fight. Thank you for the help guys.

Also got the tower removed from the parts tractor and will remove that lever to install in mine. Noticed that the 1450 parts tractor lever has 2 holes drilled in it for a roll pin. One hole might be owner added because a hole in the lower dash was cut out with a torch to get to it. It didn’t have the clamp style arm.
