I can comment on the trunnion, Yes it will work better if repaired. If you take it apart the corners can be welded and filed smooth to remove the grooves caused by the springs. There is also a quick fix too that just adds two new steel strips ove the grooves.
Looking at your list reminds me of the 147R I did You might look at that post to give you an idea of the road ahead. Yes lots of parts. And I did have to buy a donor tractor to get some things. But I think your tractor is in better condition than the one I drug home.
By the wat some of the early pictures still don't show up but the last ones look fine.
Regards,
Chris
Can I take the trunion out of the pump without dissembling the pump? There is a snap clip on the other end of the shaft. If I remove it can I slide the shaft out of the pump without the swash plate falling? How do you get the shaft and trunion out?

I have only repaired them in the tractor. Welding small pieces of steel to cover the worn areas. Never took the trunnion off. But a lot of folks have.

Chris

I got some work done on the 1450.

I got some parts in so I started putting it back together. I need to get some parts for the engine before I can continue.

I got the dash and tower on and fixed the controls, wiring and hydraulics. except for the lever. I rebuilt the steering column and closed the gap in the cross member. The gasket between the pump and transmission has been changed and the axle seals have been replaced. The engine cradle has been modified.

Is there a sproil pin that holds the arm on the lift lever?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
