Default Cub 882 Diesel Throttle Cable Installation
Hi - I need to replace the throttle cable on my 882D. I am having problems getting the "s" bend into the throttle lever. What is the best way to get the cable into the hole? Do you have to unbolt the throttle lever? The cable is not flexible enough nor is there enough room to get the "s" into the hole. Thanks!

Remove it or try loosening it up. Loosening might give you just enough to get it in

Remove the throttle lever knob by unscrewing it counter-clockwise. Remove the two screws holding the lever assembly to the dash. Drop the lever assembly out the bottom of the dash slot. Now install the cable into the lever and re- assemble. Having the battery removed makes this job much easier.
