Default GT54 Mower Deck

I'd like to find a GT 54 for my 2182 (GT 48 just seems a little too small). I don't really love the Habans, tho I might throw one my brother had for his project super on for sh*ts n giggles.

I assume that same deck will bolt right up to a 2182, probably same mule drive (as the GT 48)?

I might be able to hook you up. I offered mine to my cousin for his 2182 but he doesn't seem interested. It needs the 4 roller wheels and it's patched in the LF corner.

It's at my Cousin's in Richmond right now, on my 1861. I think it's going to be a parts casualty.

We could use a good Haban set up for his 2182 if you have any of that stuff. His 2182 is an early build with the IH rockshaft setup.

The Haban isn't mine, so I can't part with that. Interested in yours, however. My 2182 rings in as a 1992.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
