Pics of wallered crankshaft and pulley
Finally got time to pull the clutch and basket pulley. Here's some pics. The pulley I had a hard tim finding a good angle to show the damage .
Let me know what you guys think.

Had the same thing happen to me 3 years ago.
DSC00983.jpg It's still on my workbench.  I was told that it could be turned 180* and a new key slot machined into it. Is the shaft worn?

Not sure, didn't have time to put the calipers on it today, but either it or the pulley is worn unless it's supposed to slide on with play until tightening.

Mine was way worse than that. My key was so bad that it was almost round. All I did was install a new key and really wrenched down on the set screws. Then I put another set screw on top of the first one. It wobbled alittle but it ran until I replaced the engine with a 12HP engine. The old 10 HP engine was burning oil.

Thanks for the info , makes me feel a little better knowing yours was worse . Did yo get a different pulley or 're use the old one? How long did you run it after the fix ?
I was going to try jb weld. It didn't seem like there is enough space to use double set screws but I will check it out. Thanks again for the reply
