PO mod for sure.
You can see where they cut and added a piece to the lift rod to extend it out from the other lift arm.

PO mod for sure IMHO
You can see where someone cut and added a piece to the lift rod to extend it out from the other lift arm.
And extended the footrest mount waaaay outboard.
Originals are all over the place.
They made about 65,000 of them

I seen this Double lift handle before. IRC, a guy named William DeTurck (from another forum) had the same feature on his CCO. I don't recall what it was used for. I'll try to do some digging and see what I can find out.

UPDATE......

IH offered the Double Implement Lift Handle, as an option, so that one lever controlled the Rear Implements, and the other controlled the Front Implements. It was a Dealer installed option and it was only offered on the Original model. It appears it was not popular, and IH dropped that option on all subsequent models.

Scarbro you wouldn’t happen to live right on the highway between Tuscon and the old west town of Tombstone? Bout 6 years ago made that trip and saw one on the way to Tombstone. Wife was askin' why I was driving so slow on the way back. Hardly saw any lawnmowers much less an old cub.

Never seen two handles on an original, even had extend the foot rest. Pretty impressive.
