M20 Flywheel

The good news is, the flywheel came off this afternoon.

The bad news is, all the magnets on the back side of the flywheel, became loose, from using that BFH.

Now, does anyone know of a satisfactory adhesive to re-glue these magnets back on ??

2 part epoxy "steel weld" by Permatex. works for me.
As you prolly know from watching "Terrell fixes all" do keep the north/south orientation in mind as you reattach the "maggots" as well as the spacing.
Clothes pins keep the spacing equal and careful clamping of the Maggots so they don't break using vice grips gingerly, while the epoxy dries.
clean everything carefully and marking the magnets er "maggots"
avoids any errors in N/S magnetism.
in the event the the orientation is not followed, it will not put out max output, if at all.

My bet is that the magnets were already undone before any hammering took place because I have removed loose flywheels where the magnets had already moved out of place.

If you have been lucky, none of the magnets have been destroyed or cracked.

I have always had success, regluing them with no problems, using JB Weld and it is not hard to figure out where they go because of markings or rust spots on the inside of the flywheel.

But the tricky and most important part is that going around the circle,
the magnets must align, end to end, north to south, all the way around.

In other words, if you rotate one of the magnets and glue two in with a south pole facing a south pole, and/or a north to north, it may give a charge but not a full charge.

Somewhere on the net, there is a diagram or a video explaining this but I don't have it right now. I'll repost if I find it.

I just used the original JB Weld on my 682's magnets with great success.

+1 on JB. That's what I used on my M20 flywheel also.

While sorting the Magnets for "attracting" or "repelling" one of the magnets is broken. Clean break. Question is, is that magnet toast, or put the break line together, and glue it in?

Well, now you have 2 magnets. I'm not sure if that would mess things up on the chance the poles are still correct to lay in the same orientation one would have.
