Wow, the almond is a very good match to the original rims (from 1984).

Should be able to mount the rear tires tomorrow (adjusted the brakes and lubed everything up under there tonight while the tires were off. Surprised the 3 point rockshaft doesn't seem to have grease zerks).

I painted the front hood side panels on my 1050. The Almond is virtually indistinguishable from the original paint on the hood. Actually it is closer than the OEM Cub Cadet paint I bought. The Cub Cadet yellow has been spot on though.

It went on the wheel weights super thin. 3 coats and still not great coverage.

I used the Rustoleum transport yellow on the U hitch and sleeve hitch casting, and 1/2 coats over primer are solid.

Got the new rear tires mounted and on the tractor. New meats sure make a world of difference. Also took off the #364 blower and then cruised around some before draining the hytran.

Drives good, steering tight, brakes work but LH pedal clips the cab mount before going all the way down to lock in the deeper positions. Seems to represent the meter hours.

Nice tires. I see that the CCC decal on the tail is to the left of center. Must have been a Monday or Friday build.

Picked up the mule drive and lift link I needed. As well as a spare #374 shell from Rob Houtz. My Stens blades also showed up. At this rate it might be mowing next week

Tried to make some progress in between rain.

Primed the underside of the #374 deck and also the backside of the wheels. Right beforehand I knocked out the bearings and spacers and stripped the outsides to bare metal. Wasn't sure if I was going to reuse the bearings at the time, so I used a wire wheel, which was a mistake (vs sandblasting).

Turned out OK for my first foray into using a spray gun (way cheaper than all these cans), but I thinned the rusty metal primer too much (3:1).

Finally got the fronts mounted. Next time I need to mount "smaller" 8ply I'm going to pay someone lol.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
