Default No More Waiting,, APPLE PIE Time!!

You can not tell if the apples are ready, without trying them,,,
Today, was the day!!

The first apple of the day

The last apple of the day, the deer and squirrels will stop by, and clean up the peelings,,,

Are you getting apples yet?

What are you making with them?

Oh,, yea,,, the pie is in the oven!!

I get my apples from New Yawk but I don’t think they’re ready yet. Parents bring them down when they flap their wings the first of November from Klein’s Kill fruit Farms where I grew up.

Yours look good John. I love the old peeler. Is it old or made to look old? Looks nice either way and I want one now.

No apples in NY yet.. Got 3 apple farms within 2 miles of the house.

That is the third one that I have owned,
the first two should be in the basement, we use all three when someone wants to put up apple sauce, or something.

That particular peeler I found in a hardware store for $29, I am sure it was a mis-marked price.

It is perfect, I carefully wash it after each use. It peeled all of those apples in about 3 minutes.

At the time, (about 5 years ago) I thought I overpaid because I purchased the other old peelers at antique shops for about $10 each.

We also have two cherry pitters, and one of them is aluminum.

The grandchildren really love coming over and running these old technology machines.
It is even more special because they work so well.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
