My 1979 Dual Stick 1650. I picked it up a few years back.
I had the engine rebuilt and added a set of tri ribs and three point hitch.
It has a 50” mower deck. I figured it would be a good tractor to have a swivel push blade. So after a short search, I found one that was in rough condition, but thought it was worth rebuilding. It’s a 52” with a hydraulic swivel. The cylinder also needed to be rebuilt.
Now it’s a year round work tractor that the wife (Nancy) enjoys using as well. (Always a plus)

Very nice 1650 Todd! The fact that the wife enjoys riding it means it will share some of your time and get the attention it needs. Congratulations on having your 1650 with extras featured as POTW.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
