Put a hydrostatic transmission into a 2160 with AGS
I have a 2160 with a bad transmission but in great shape. I have a 2165 with a bad motor and the body in horrible shape. Is it possible to put the hydrostatic transmission in the 2160 ipo the AGS system? If I swap the transmission and the shaft from the motor, will this be possible? Has anyone attempted this before?

 I have no experience with the transmissions in the 2000 series tractors. Hopefully someone will chime in.

To answer your question the answer is yes. If it was me I would take the good parts from the 2160 and swap them to the 2165. It should be easier that way plus if you want to sell it the 2165 is worth more than the 2160

OK, thanks everyone.
Another question, this and another mower came from my grandpa when he passed. The other one is older 169 model, he never used it and it is in great shape and everything works. How much would that be worth? Just asking if I decide to sell it. Thanks in advance

I also have an extremely heavy hydraulic type from plow. It is cub cadet also and was meant for the larger cubs in the late '80's. I think he only mounted it once since it was so heavy. What about that one? It has been sitting in a barn until last fall.

The 169 is the 2nd lowest produced model ever built and highly sought after with only 4005 ever built. It should be worth $750 to $1500+ but we would need to see some pics to tell you for sure.
