Default Can’t figure out what I got

Hey guys, I bought this for my son. He is 5 and wanted a pulling tractor. There is a number on the rear axle but I cannot figure out how to determine any information from it. Is there anyway I can research this number?
Thank you so much. I have pics of tractor but will need to get any engine pics later, as the tractor is at my grandparents where we left it to work on it. Also, I tried posting the pics I have but couldn’t see where to post then.
Thank you again!

Post the number here. I am sure someone will be able to identify as a serial number or part number.

Looks to me like a 70 or 100. Would be a a shame to ruin a good tractor like tha to make a puller in my opinion.

I agree. A picture of the other side of the motor would indicate which model you have.

I agree, find one that has already been ruined, I mean built into a pulling tractor.

Here is the other side.
The numbers I have found on the mower are
Rear axle - 173545
Left side of engine - 3234756

The Engine should have a Model Tag on it. A 7hp will have K-161 and a 10HP will have a K-241.

That picture "looks" like a 7HP engine, thus it would be a Tractor Model: 70.

I think with that style muffler it would be a 100.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
