Default 3225 Leaking Hydraulics

Hello all! I posted a couple of weeks ago about leaking bearing blocks, and I have since replaced all the seals in the rear end and have it sealed up nicely. I pressure washed everything down and got the mower nice and clean, and when I got everything back together, I saw I had two more leaks. The lift valve for the mower deck is leaking, and the hydraulic cylinder for the deck is also leaking. Ughh!

It has just shy of 1,000 hours on it, and I have had to rebuild the motor, replace the ignition coils, replace the hydrostatic transmission, replace the charge pump, and replace the tires (all within the last two years). I should have just sold it for scrap metal when it blew the head gaskets, but it has some sentimental value to it, and I hate to throw away such a well built machine. I compromised and I scrapped the mower deck, which was rusted out, and I bought a new Cub XT2 for mowing.

Now that I have done all the work mentioned above, it runs and drives nice, but these leaks have got to go! I installed a sleeve hitch for some light duty rear implements, like a box blade and rake, and I am looking for a snow plow for the front. Finally, my question...can I just cap the lines to the lift valve to stop the leaky hydraulics? If I can find a snow plow that is made for this machine (doubtful, I have been looking for over a year now), would it use any of the mower deck stuff to work? I am going to install an electric linear actuator for the sleeve hitch, and I am really thinking of just getting one of the newer style plows that use a winch or linear actuator for the front. I am just sick of leaking hydraulics, and I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars more fixing leaking cylinders that I will not use.

Before I go capping lines off, I thought I would post here in case I am making a big mistake (like it not steering or something when I cap the lines to the lift valve). Any help, or advice is appreciated!

I know it's a PIA with the 3k oil line leaks but they are pretty cheap & easy to repair. Here's a link to one I did years ago although I have not had a cylinder leak yet. I'd just repair the leaks and if you don't use them they shouldn't leak.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
