Sure! I'll be glad to share some pictures under the hood. It has i believe a bigger carb than what originally came with the 14's, i think im running a #30 Carter? I had to get skillful when I adapted the original 10 hp air filter housing to the #30. Ill get pics up during the Thanksgiving holiday!

So, I have a custom model 1000 QL, custom IH 56" snow blade, and now making custom rear wheel weights using IH wheel weights, lol! Tomorrow marks the end of a three week straight work schedule, I apologize for not having pictures of my 1400. But they will come soon.

I'd guess each weight is around 65 pounds with hardware. I didn't get any action pictures pushing snow, but with the 100 pound draw bar ballast I have on, this 1400 will take on a 3' drift and keep right on going! Love the fact that i can push into and across the yard with no turf damage!

So, I had an electrical issue with my 1400 spiking the amp meter. The best way for me to get in there was to remove the fire wall and fuel cell as one unit. So, pictures finally came. Kohler AQS K321, Carter #30, and the stronger old school drive line system.

Electrical issue solved, tractor all back together, and running strong! The 14hp is quite the beast in front of the gear drive, i notice the extra power having had been driving hydrostatic for the last several years.

On a side note, weather permitting, I'm coming home with a CCC model 1210 that's in very nice condition despite the broken connecting rod in the Mag 12. Kinda excited!

Looks good!

Reminds me that I need to go put my k321 back together. I bet there's much more power with the gear drive, the hydros kinda limit power output.

If I can ever find donor tractors, I would love to put a gear trans and clutch into a 147 frame and make myself a "146"

Thanks! Hydrostatic drive tractors are awesome. My 1711 has plenty of power, as did my 125. I guess what I ment was the preformance difference from the tired, but faithful k241 AQS out of my QL 1000 v.s the K321AQS that had been sitting a few years.

Thumbs up Quiet Line Custom Model 1400 Gets Another Upgrade

Pictures, or it didn't happen, lol! Got a free 1210 today . Its going to be saved for parts, for now but will be put together and used as a mower. The 1210 has many nice parts, including the front grill housing, and complete lighting including the CCC emblem. All will be installed on my 1711 soon.

My 1400 will be receiving the 1 inch front spindles and rims. I'll be getting new tires any day now for the front as well.

Got the 1" spindles on my 1400, along with the good set of rims from the 1210. I still need to set the toe in, but its done. Last week I also changed out the transmission gear oil with Hy-Tran , and made my own gasket from cork. Now, on to my 1211 custom!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
