Default CADplans old Haban Sickle MO

My brother convinced me to pull this project out of the shed and get it going again. Out of curiosity I went back into my emails to see how long I've had it, apparently 10 years went by fast, lol. Whoever had it before CADplans was pretty abusive as It was pretty rough as you can see from the first two pictures. The rear tube and mount were missing and some random piece of pipe had been welded on. The lift handle was gone and some rectangular tubing was shoved over the handle attachment point. The jackshaft tube was broken from the front mount and several other broken welds. And...the pitman arm was locked up. Well, after a few days with the welder and and other repairs I got it up and running again.

Excellent, that is great to see on the tractor. Of all the implements made
that is one I desire the most. Odds are there will never be one within a
1000 miles of here but it is fun to dream. Thanks for the pictures.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
