IH 38a rotary mower maintenance items

Hello, I'm trying to assist a neighbor with identifying parts necessary for servicing an IH 38A rotary mower. I've tried scouring the interwebs, but there are many answers.

What is the size for the 38" deck belt?
What is the size for the pto belt?
What is the part number for the air filter?
Is there an oil filter?
Recommended oil weight in southeast Pennsylvania?
Proper spark plug?
Any other tips and tricks?

I've attached the plate if that helps.

These are tractor questions and you make NO mention of the model you are working. Can't answer these questions until we have more information.

Thanks for the welcome:-) I did mention that it is a 38A International harvester. I also added the metal badge with model and serial number. It appears to be a 79 38a rotary mower if I am reading the serial number correctly. It does 1450 hydrostatic on the hood. That is the only other identifying info. I was able to ascertain that the deck belt was a 490489R2 1/2 x 81" from the belt that broke. I'm still looking for a part number for air filter. I intend to use sae30 in it since IH recommened that was the oil to use.

Model just states 38a rotary mower on badge. It does have 1450 hydrostatic on hood.
I found deck belt. I'd still be curious to know what the drive belt, air filter, and any other info available. Thank you for reply:-)

It says 1450 hydrostatic on hood. However, if you google that, everything is for the lx series. The badge only states the model as being an IH 38a rotary mower.

1450 is the model of the Tractor.
38A is the model of the Mower Deck.

As stated you are working on a Cub cadet 1450 Garden tractor.
it has a 38A mowing deck attachment installed on it.
It can have various attachments to do many jobs, that can quickly be attached.
The Garden tractor has a model number on the left frame rail near your left ankle or toes sitting in the driving position with your feet on the floor boards.
This should help you getting parts for the tractor if you have that number.
it does not have a oil filter but does have a hydraulic filter, it is located between your legs on the underside of the tractor.

How about blade sets? The tractor still runs, but boy, it hasn't been taken great care of.

Hindsight is 20/20. Saw the filter stuffed up under there. Not messing with it. Maybe someone can point me to a post here.

It's an older gentleman who wanted it serviced, oil change, blades sharpened, grease fittings, air filter and replace a pto belt but you know... it's never just a service. I had replaced the pto belt (1/2 x 81) which I found D&D PowerDrive 532420807 for $14. Unfortunately I had already bought the belt with the part number referenced in the parts diagram (490489R2) for $20. The PTO pulleys on both sides were frozen. Again, 20/20. I did find the stens part after I'd already installed something else that seemed to work. For how long, we shall see. Stens - 280-248 V-Idler, Toro 112-6133 if anyone is interested. It appeared that the rail holding the attachment frame for the deck had at one point been lodged up under the frame. JD was good at this too. The tensioner pulley springs out under the frame then the operator uses deck lift.

Of course, he wanted all of this done quickly and for a certain price, free. Well, I'm in it for at least $70 at this point. I'll load a video later. The blades were about as dull as a wet noodle. I'm not sure how he was cutting any grass. The blades could use replacing.

The blades could use replacing.

The ones with the Red Asterisks are Standard Blades. The ones without, are "hard surfaced".
