Default Cub Cadet 104 Resto

I am starting to finally work on this cub 104 I got basically for free. It got it with no engine and it seems mostly complete otherwise. I am gonna need some help getting it off the ground and figuring out what parts im missing, I figured this is the best place....

I want to use it as a stock class puller maybe in the future but for now I got a engine for it, and I need to start getting the parts together to make it run...

I have a K241 10hp that I need to get going, the first things I know I need are is a belt for the starter & a manual or diagram of how the engine is supposed to be assembled...& I know im missing parts to connect the driveshaft to the flywheel.

here are a few pics... I have a 1450 & a 1811 around as well.

Looks like you're missing the 3 pin driver, does the engine have the screen and drive cup on it?

Where in PA are you located?

First, welcome to OCC...

a manual or diagram of how the engine is supposed to be assembled...
Manuals for both Cub Cadet & Kohler are in the Technical Library Section. If you like "paper version", click on Binder Books at the top of the page.

Click on the Tab at the top of the page "Cub Cadet Parts & Service Look-Up" will get all your parts look-up needs.

Again, that information is in the TP-2379 Service Manual as located in the Technical Library, page 3, 9th down.

Again, the Parts for the K-241 can be seen by clicking on Link as previously stated.

Again, That is in the GSS-1398 Service Manual for the 1x4/5 Series Tractors as in the Technical Library Section, page #3, 3rd down.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
