new guy in illinois
Hey all i signed up a few weeks ago and just now got around to posting I've been just checking out the site and pictures and am loving what I see. I've been messing with tractors since before I can remember and had a couple cubs when I was younger. I'm 24 now and finaly picked up a 102 about a month ago and I've done a little work to it. Paid 300 non running with headlights factory cig lighter and creeper gear as well as a deck. And just today I got a 64 cub 100 which is in pieces but all it needs is a bearing on the clutch I ended up giving a old snowblower for a John deere 110/112 even up for it does run but the po hasn't been the nicest to it I think I might end up doing a full on restore with this one. If i knew how to upload pics from my phone I have a couple of the 102 all it needs currently is a starter solenoid to be able to be put back into service the 100 is still a tossup between a part out or fix up not sure yet... Name is morris by The way everyone just calls me mo. Nice to be a part of this site a whole ton of good info and help here. Sorry for The book and yes I know my grammer is not the best and my phone likes spelling things for me so trust my I'm jot THAT bad

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
