By the 662/73 split, been through there many times, even bought an antique console radio out of a house there once. 662 is my shortcut to Douglasville.

Just saw this thread. I live outside the small town of Roaring Spring in Blair County. I list Altoona as my location since most have never heard of Roaring Spring (even PAers).

I recently moved "back home" to the farm where I built a new house. I am new to the Cub Cadet brand and learning. My friend has a CC 109 that I am trying to get running for him. I have a separate post on the trials and tribulations of the task.

Prior to moving back to PA, I lived 37 years in the Canton, OH area. Other residences prior to OH were Hagerstown MD (1yr), Peoria IL (10yrs), Stillwater OK (4yrs), and Waterloo IA (2 summers).

I live near Alexandria (Huntingdon County), PA.
I love this site, it's packed full of useful information, and the members here are beyond helpful.

I currently own a 1992 Cub 1440, and a 2013 GTX-2100 Garden Tractors.
I use the 1440 with a 451 snowblower attachment to get rid of the excess PA snow we seem to get every year. I've had both of these since new and I love them.
I recently found my niece an 1862 w/P.S. and deck lift, and pointed a good friend of mine to a 2086 Cub SGT that came up for sale. I think following proper maintenance routines Cubs are excellent machines that last a long long time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
