Default 1812 woods resto

I got this 1812 for free but it sat outside most of its life and was in real bad shape and just looking at it gave me tetanus . So I took the engine out of it to clean the cooling fins because it was packed full of mice nest. I started to power wash the block and I wasn't even up close with the wand and a hole appeared above where the starter sits and I thought I could see the inside of the crank case. well I kept on washing and got it on the healing bench. After a few thinking beers checked the cylinders pistons and rings all good there nothing explodified but we do have a hole in the crankcase. then I took a fairly big SS carriage bolt and shoved it through the inside with the cylinder still removed and used good ol JB weld 24hr with the nut on the outside. re assembling everything and a new carburetor she runs great and has 110 psi on each cylinder no oil leaks and it was repaired about 2 years ago. Now I have been going around cleaning peoples drive ways in my neighborhood since highschool (people are very lazy by me) and only had a 24 inch cut 8hp unit and would bring it some good money with that. but after the work I did to the tractor and now the snow blower is fully refurbished I made a pretty penny so far and really wish these cubs were still in production because its the best thing since sliced bread! the reason I say woods resto is because I did this whole job outside in a small corner of my backyard on a couple pieces of plywood under a bunch of trees. here is a drive link with higher quality pictures I cant upload high MB photos but if any one know how to do tell ( https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...Sj?usp=sharing) keep em out of the scrap yard and don't tear them apart if they are whole.

I want to kick myself in the A** I didn't take any before pictures I just kinda tore into it once I got it. I was driving back with my mom from Connecticut and my dad found a listing on craigslist for the tractor and it was right off of the highway on our way back home from a delivery we were making. I called him and we went over to look at it and my mother told the guy to push it over the cliff he had in his back yard because it was so rough but i wanted it and would have paid the $50 for it. We left after I gave him my phone number and he called me back shortly after I got home and said just come take it its yours, it was music to my ears. These pictures(I added them to the drive) are of an 1811 I found for sale but it looked like that at one point just add more rust to everything I'm honestly surprised the rims are ok because the bead is pretty shot. I also forgot to mention he had all of the original paper work with it and the brochures manual etc. Once I had all of that I knew it had to be brought back from its slumber and since then I love the 82 series the most. I also added a bunch of pictures of the brochures so I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I do. ( https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...Sj?usp=sharing )

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
