I found the same style as OEM cyclops bumper for late 90s,early 2000s MTD product NIB for $50. Some trimming and it fit right up to the 2x 1/2 weld nuts on the frame of the 2182.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens.
