Default Thank you for accepting me

Hello. I have owned two Cubs, a 1250 that I just recently sold and a 1440 that I still own and have owned since new in 1993. It is by far the best machine I have ever encountered. Other than maintenance items the only repair item in all those years has been the oil pressure sensor by the oil filter.

That's it

I have been looking for a snowthrower for it and I blindly trusted someone and bought a unit from a person last week who told me it was for a 1440. It turned out after I got it home and researched it to be a QA36. From what I can tell, this isn't compatible with my 1440.

So, the search continues. I learned to be more informed and less trusting from now on.

BTW...if anyone needs a QA36 and lives near Central PA, let me know. I just want to get my price and expenses back out of it.

Anyhow thanks for welcoming me here. I do like these tractors.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
