Obviously you have an intermittent electrical condition in your wiring.
It could be shorting to ground but that usually would either blow a fuse or fry the wire, if no fuse in that circuit.
So you, and only you, can find the problem as you are there doing the checking.
You are going to have to wiggle/jiggle things to find the problem.
Following the wiring diagram should help.
Check the previously suggested checks/items.
These things are not complex, just take your time and use common sense.

Been thinking about this. So, It will crank ( starter circuit works) but will not fire off ( maybe a problem with the ignition circuit or maybe another problem that is not electrical) unless you wiggle the wire that you think is the PTO wire?

The PTO wires have been known to chafe and blow the fuse but this should not affect the run circuit....

Was checking the condition of my wiring harness and had a couple bad areas. One was the positive cable at the battery which was corroded and barely holding together at the positive post. I decided to order a new harness from Mike L. I have had his harness in the past and it’s a real nice setup. I’m going to keep this one so I think it’s the right choice.
Any tricks I should know about while installing my new harness?
