Default DIY Receiver Hitch for my Electric Toro

Fabricated a receiver hitch for my Toro Electric Tractor. Had to move a 2000# trailer last night. Had to go up quite a hill. Tractor didn't even breath hard! All that battery weight really helps traction on wet grass....

A #2000 trailer on a lawnmower transaxle with no bearings and just small axles in aluminum housings and a little brake
I sincerely wish you luck.

2000 pound trailers usually have 200 or more pounds of tongue weight. I would say you were pushing the limits of that little guy just a wee bit

Yea but....the Toro was free! I'll use it until it breaks. Then move everything over to a John Deere 214 I have waiting in the wings.....I need SOMETHING to keep me occupied!

Was more concerned with your safety than that Toro

Thanks to the conservation law of energy, the charge you would gain would be more than offset by the resistance introduced into the rotation of the wheel.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
