1. Do the cradle mod... https://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/...ead.php?t=4630 2. Get solid motor mounts from Jeff... https://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/...ad.php?t=20875 3. Get a 3 pin driver for a non-quiet line cub as pictured above from a vendor or eBay, for example... https://www.ebay.com/itm/27550890238...Bk9SR_6o_P2SYQ But that's just me, it's your tractor. |

The driver on E-bay looks like it needs a new bushing, so ad another $7 or $8.
And, if your 1200 has an aluminum pan, you likely have issues there as well with missing bolts and/or wallered out holes and worn mounting bosses. All these issues lead to issues you have already discovered. Inspect carefully. Cracked driver plate is usually due to worn/loose bolts, worn degraded ISO mounts (they are after all nearly 50 years old) and possibly abuse or owner neglect. Me, I'd replace the 3 pin driver, ISO mounts and do the cradle mod. Plus fully inspect the complete drive train for loose everything, including throw out bearing, main spring, hanger assembly, teaser spring, clutch plates and disc, spirol pins, flex joints and rear coupler. |

Sounds wise to do a total clutch work up.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. To update my progress I ordered a new solid 3 pin clutch driver, solid mounts and am waiting on them to arrive. I also trued up the pressure plates in an a lathe for the new OEM friction disc. Cradle mod and oil pan inspection are next. I’ll post pictures as things start going back together!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
