Default New garden area
Well, after much tilling and adding quite a few bags of topsoil, manure, and compost, my new garden area is nearly finished. I have two types of tomatoes and peppers, cukes, and green beans. It measures about 8 X 18. I just hope the critters stay away!! I loved using the tiller. The tips shared on this site were a big help. Thanks guys!

Great to hear! Got any pics of that garden with that sweet looking dirt? Hmm reminds me I've got to update my thread.

Still want to plant some radishes, so I'll get to that tomorrow. It rained big time (yes, again) last night so it's plenty wet everywhere. At least I don't have to water the garden, eh?

DWayne, you're killing me. Though, a cultivator would come in handy to work the back 40....yards, that is....lol.

IAFarmer, the soil is a product of years of composting and prep. It's mostly clay in the surrounding area, but I've tried to remove most of that. This is the first real year of a veggie garden in this spot. I'm anxious to see how things grow. I'll keep you posted.
