Default Leveling a yard

BOX SPRINGS . If you don't have a lot of grass in the area your trying to level the box springs with the angel iron across the bottum work great .pull them at an angle they will fill in the low spots an take off the high spots. If you can find a set . Just my .02 Bruce S.

Thank You for all the suggestions.
The CCO members here are GREAT!!!!!
Yes the grader might be just the thing!!!!
Especially since I just picked up another "O" deck that is badly rusted.
I'll try cutting the deck off and and using the mounts to attach a blade.

I used to build golf courses so I actually have experience in this matter and it all depends on soil type and compaction. If the soil is loose deffinately go with the center blade with a drag mat behind (like a weighted peice of chain link fence). Blade does all the hard work and mat finishes it off in one or two passes. Thats how we get those greens and fariways so nice and smooth. But just remember you cant get a whole lot cutting done with any center mount blade unless you have a monster machine on top or if. Thats why the motor graders are finishers that come in after the dozers have done the real work. If the soil is really soft, you could back drag it with a front blade and then drag mat it, but that will take a while and some practice.

If the soil is compacted or you have grass/weeds, go with a box blade. The ability to change the cutting angle and the added weight will deffinately help smooth out and break up the hard stuff aswell as help get some of the plant material out of the way.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
