Default Newbi needs some guidance

Hello all. I am new to this forum, and finding the internet in general providing mixed information. So - I came to the experts! I know some of the older Cub's are "Collectors Items" but I assume these are the original IH manufactured cubs.

I have an older Garden Tractor - Model 140651100, S/N 804914. I see on this site that is likely a 1541, made in 1990 & 1991, but S/N's references are in the 300000 range, not 800000 like the one I have.

So, I have a few questions for the experts:

1) Is this indeed a Model 1541, made in 1990?
2) If not, please assist me in determining what it is
3) It has 740 hours on it, any idea the value of it?

I am interested in possibly selling, but want a little more info on potential value and what I would properly list it as if I decide to go that route. (I am keeping my other Cub for sure.)

Thanks for any assistance - it is great to find a group of passionate owners out there that don't just want to mow their lawns!

You have a 1990 1541.

Need more info before I can guess what it's worth. Condition, attachments (mower, plow etc)

Pics would help

Thanks Sam Mac - really appreciate the quick reply and info.

I have a 46" mower deck, rear-wheel weights, and tire chains. Attached is a quick pic I had avail, the side panels were off when this was taken, they are in good shape and I'll get put on and a better pic when I get a chance.

Thanks!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
