Yes the new Holley fuel pump is working. Was looking at getting a 5psi gauge for the fuel line just to make sure the pump was still keeping pressure after it happened again. I’m hoping Monday or Tuesday I’ll be able to get back to the tractor again. My grape vines came in the other day and I had to put my posts in for their trellis and plant them. A friend of mine has a green tractor and was saying when this happened to him that there was a module under his dash that was going bad. I told him I didn’t think cub had anything like that but I’m not sure if there is a kubota specific module that might have some engine controls attached to it. But I’ll head towards the carb again this week. Thanks again everybody.

Well I pulled the carb and cleaned everything I could see. It was actually pretty clean. No debris in the inlet and all the orifices were clear. I did trim the solenoid pin a little bit closer to the solenoid. Put it all back together and went mowing. Not even done with the first lap and it started. Silly me forgot to open the right side outlet valve when I mowed the side of the culvert. But as I was opening the valve I could see the fuel line appeared to have a 90 degree bend in it. So back to the shop I go and pull the wheel and sure enough it had a heck of a kink in the fuel line. I don’t remember seeing that before. So while I was at it I replaced the fuel filter and replaced the fuel line to the tee from the tank to the filter. Mowed the rest the of the night with it with no issues pertaining to the engine. I had it all apart a few weeks ago but put it back as I found it. thanks for the suggestions. I know it was making me feel like I had not made such a good deal on the tractor.

Excellent. Glad you got it running. And look at all the items that are
fixed and you no longer have to consider when working on it next time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
