1200 Front Blade
I recently bought a CC1200 which came with a snow plow. I puzzled quite a bit about how to attach the plow, these manuals you folks posted help a lot!
On a marginally related note, my equipment lift lever has broken its return spring, which means it will no longer lock in place at intermediate settings (the button stays down unless I pull it up). Can this be repaired? I am not even sure how to get into that lever. Thanks again! Uncle Bob |

Before you replace any parts, you might try spraying some PB Blaster or WD-40 around the button, let it soak in a bit and then work it a couple of times. It may be just rusted up or seized and that could allow it to actuate freely. I've had good luck doing that in the past, so it may be worth a try. If not, replace as Roland suggested.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
