CC1450 - 1A Tiller PTO Belt
All,
Just bought an old 1450 with a 1A tiller. Unfortunately, didn't come with a PTO belt. I'm in Canada (Ontario) and have reached out to several dealers looking for the needed belt. On another posting here I was able to get the part #: IH-61959-C1 but it seems to be discontinued. I've checked online sources as well both in Canada and the US but can't seem to find anyone that has the belt. Does anyone here have a possible source? The specs on the belt are 7/16 x 145 1/2. Anyone know if going to a 1/2" belt would work? Seems I can find 1/2 x 145 or 1/2 x 146 lengths from belt suppliers. I'm a newbie for sure. Any help would be appreciated. |

Try our Sponsor CC Specialties (at top of page). I am sure he has the belts and I know he ships to Canada.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
