This question may be illegal?
Working on a Cub Cadet 1211. Not sure if it's IH or MTD. If it's MTD just throw me off no problem. It has a Kohler M12 engine with a walbro carb. The carb is not so good. I rebuilt a Kohler carb from a K series. Carb works great. However I have two issues 1. Back plate for the air filter has the holes in the wrong place I could redrill them but the throttle linkage will hit it. 2. Choke works great except its backwards. Push it in to choke it. Has anyone ran into this before.? Will a backplate from a 1200 work? Can I use the choke shaft from the Walbro?

LOL, not illegal.
The 1211 is a CCC/MTD product, produced from 1987 to 1989. People modify their tractors all the time, and changing to a different Carb is no big deal.

I always thought an ill eagle was a sick bird. Reverse choke cable from coming in from the top to the bottom, or from front to back, or from left to right, or vice versa, depending on your set up.

The reverse choke cable likely comes from one installation routing the cable from above and the other routing from below. Either will work fine (the engine doesn't care).
I doubt Roland will arrest you for this question. Now, if you painted your tractor green and yellow, maybe he would....

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
